Rohatgi, we have invented many LED lighting products in India and have many patents to our credit (amongst which is the world's first LED Aviation Obstruction Light in 1995). All ISI standard specifications for electric lamps in India carry his name, as many were drafted by him. As early as 1983, we switched our focus to LED technology and were awarded our first Indian Patent for the world's first energy-saving LED pilot light in 1986. Subsequently, through continuous R&D, we have developed a very wide range of LED Signalling products, including Warning and Alarm lights, Crane busbar indicators, and LED Railway Signal lights. In 1995, we invented the world's first LED Aviation Obstruction Light, which has a life of 20 years (thus eliminating the issues of replacement and maintenance at extensive heights on tall structures such as chimney stacks) and also saves 95% energy. We have been awarded a Patent for the same. A host of other patents have followed since then. Subsequent developments have been made with LED-based Medium Intensity Types 'A', 'B', and 'C', and High Intensity Types 'A' and 'B' (as per International Civil Aviation Organization specifications).
